Ephesians 3:14-19 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;

Tthat ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth,
and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Day 10—What Happens When the Kingdom of GodPermeates Our Life?

Permeates means to penetrate and spread throughout something—or someone. That’s what the Kingdom of God is doing in us as it affects every part of us. Many of us have lived for years under the rule of some dark force that has worked to destroy us. The darkness of sin has permeated us. Now, we’re discovering that God’s Kingdom will work in us everywhere sin has worked. The greatest discovery any of us can ever make is that the King Himself will live in us. Christ Jesus is ready to become our source of Life.

Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians is overflowing with the wonders that can become ours in Christ. We can find these wonders in the verses of that opening section of Ephesians. What we see there is ready to take over where once there was darkness and pain.

First, see this: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in ChristEphesians 1:3. Oh, just to know this! Where we once bore the curse of our old way of living—even things that came down on us from the sins of our fathers—we now are ready for what Paul called all spiritual blessings. Just know this: the real blessings of life come to us through what God does in us by His Spirit.

DEAR LORD, Heaven seems distant to me, and I’m not always very sure of going there. But now, it seems that heaven is coming to me! Christ Jesus is making it real in me. Oh, I believe there could be no greater blessing! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You, for making heaven’s blessings real in me. I am ready to rest in Your work, and Your love, and Your grace.
